Penn State really shouldn't play Pitt
Re: Penn State really shouldn't play Pitt
Students, unlike most alumni, have lives.
I mean really, who buys season tickets a year in advance of the one game they can't miss? Who can't miss one game?
Who cares how many Penn State fans are in attendance at the game on Saturday? Why?

I'm with Konjo... Students will literally be partying in the seats! Especially if they are over 21 with a valid (or fake) ID.
But I still don't get the argument that if the team you watch and root for (ahem, not play for, lol) have more fans - you are a superior human being.
More annoying, but definitely not superior.

Id rather the students be drunk and rowdy than quiet and sober. Home field advantages in college and professional sports thrive off rowdy crowds.
Pitt has one of the ten best college basketball student sections in the country, and they are very engaged in the game.
I just don't know why anyone cares what a 19 year old Pitt student is doing before the game Saturday. Because a 19 year old Michigan, Alabama, Washington, and Notre Dame students are doing the exact same thing. It's college, it's college football. That's all there is to it.

Are you able to buy alcohol during college games at Heinz Field?

It used to just be club level, but they opened it up to the rest of the stadium this year. I didn't take a look at prices last week, but I'd imagine it's probably the standard stadium price of 8-9-10 bucks.

Interesting, one of the first comments the commentators said has the 50/50 crowd.

It's like 70-30, but 30% of Heinz is a good number. The Penn Stae fans are here for sure though. Not cheering a lot at the moment.
