If his dad worked at Westmont, I'm sure he would've went there.ChrisKentRam wrote:If this move had nothing to do with sports then why wouldn't he go to Westmont instead of McCort? His father moved to Westmont. He wanted to stay at his home school. I'm sure the length of the drive and the late dinners got to be too much so he transferred.
Nothing different than if Joe the IT guy's son plays for Tyrone and he gets a new job in Ebensburg. The kid will more than likely want to stay at Tyrone, but after a few weeks of early morning commutes and late rides home he and his family decide to transfer to Central Cambria. Both schools and their administration are much more familiar with the background and both schools signed off on the transfer. I'm not pro-private school but come on guys leave the kid alone!

He played against BG didn't he???? Didn't help much in that one I guess
Also, why would he leave central (a perennial power) to go play for a McCort team that has had no success recently. Let the kid be, he's nothing special.

Are you also sure that if his dad worked at Bishop Carroll or Blacklick Valley he would have went there?Crimson's Ghost wrote:If his dad worked at Westmont, I'm sure he would've went there.ChrisKentRam wrote:If this move had nothing to do with sports then why wouldn't he go to Westmont instead of McCort? Re: Week four scores
Back in August, and possibly since the end of last football season, a young man began working his tail off to earn a spot in the Crushers starting line-up. By the start of this season, he had earned his spot on the team. Meanwhile, a kid from another school pretty far away, was left to spend his senior year with his grandfather (so I hear). The kid gets in some sort of trouble, so his dad decides to bring him to BM after he has already played games for his original school team. So what happened? The kid (who was in trouble) transfers to BM and waltzes onto the BM team and the original starter, who played by the rules and worked his butt off to play for BM, loses his job. That's a fine Howdy-Doo. And as Manfred said earlier, Billy Bruce gets suspended for his senior year from athletics at Conemaugh Twp, but BM comes to the rescue that summer and he shows up to start for BM. At BM, it's whatever it takes.

I have no reason to believe otherwise.

Re: Week four scores
Billy Bruce didn't start at McCort anyway. You don't care at all about the kid sitting on Bishop McCort's bench. You don't feel bad or anything, so why spend time talking about it?
Your complaints against the school you dislike the most in the world are well taken, but sticking up for a nameless kid that you literally don't care about just seems so hollow to me.

If only we could keep scores in the scores threads...

BUT Billy Bruce was one of the top running backs in the area when he was a junior. BM JUMPED at the chance to bring him into the fold. If he didn't start, so what. The intent was there, for BM to get an advantage over their opponents.. And I DON'T DISLIKE bm. I just don't like unfair situations.
Re: Week four scores
Please give me a little more info on the powerhouse that Central is, didn't they choose to leave LHAC because they were a doormat? Before 2015, when was their last title? Having a great group of kids is not the same as being a perennial powerhouseRamsFootball wrote:He played against BG didn't he???? Didn't help much in that one I guess

Re: Week four scores
Central has won 3 since 2008, the most in AA during that stretch.
