Once upon a time Bedford and Chestnut Ridge were football only members.

I' m sure when Ridge wanted to come back they were told to find someone else to join with them.

By my count five teams have left the LHAC over the years.  Northern Cambria, Johnstown Vo-Tech, Ligonier Valley, Chestnut Ridge and Central. When it began the LHAC consisted of ten teams.

And I don't recall two teams leaving the same season.

Has BC made the decision to not field a football team in 2017?

What, so if BC leaves, why would they add two teams

Were any of those teams forced out or was it their decision to leave?

Good luck trying to find schools to play.  Heritage already threw them out, now LHAC wont want to play them.  Cant see the WESTPAC helping them out.   Could be the beginning of the end.
No such vote occurred.  The public schools in the LHAC have been attempting for over a month to expel BC due to their non-competitive football team.  Yes, BC still plans to field a team in the future.  The most dubious aspect of all of this is that the public school members of the LHAC are strongly implying to BM and BG that if they do not vote to expel BC, they are next.  All votes to expel a member from the conference must be unanimous.

BC is only three years removed from beating Bellwood in the playoffs.  Yes, the last three seasons have been tough for them, but how does that justify expelling them from the conference?  Under those rules, any number of teams (e.g. P-O, Bucktail, Ferndale, Westmont, Blacklick Valley, etc.) could suffer the same fate.  Central Cambria barely beat BC this year for their only win.  Should they also be expelled from the LHAC?

And finally, a plan is already in place to admit Chestnut Ridge (again) to the conference if BC is indeed expelled.  They are still mulling what to do about the sections.

The new AD showed up at his first meeting and stated that they are not planning to have football, which lead to the discussion of removing them from the conference.   There has been some discussion regarding player safety earlier this year , but removal from LHAC only after BC AD remarks at LHAC meeting
----came from AD who attended meeting

I have never heard any discussion of BG or BM being next

All exits from the LHAC to date have been voluntary.
