In Ferndale's case, when you have someone like Hinton, kids rely on him in a tight spot, so they show what they can do. In reality, they only lost him and 1 other kid. Their JV team was undefeated with all Freshman and Sophomores, so it should be an interesting year. Can't wait!

I went to watch Ferndale once last season, in the WestPac Championship game at UPJ. 100% of their offense was Hinton based. He was either shooting or setting someone else to score. He never, ever played off the ball. It's like how the Rockets are using James Harden this year.

Agreed.  It typically takes a while for a team to get used to playing without someone that does so much for their team.

Ferndale and BC will be a good example of Jimmy's and Joes vs X's & O's.  Both teams look to have lost very good pieces from last year.  We will see if good coaches can close the talent gap or was it just the players bringing success.

Are there any injuries that will effect local teams to start the year?  It seems like every year, especially on the boys side, there are at least a couple from football season that linger into at least the start of basketball season.

I was talking to a buddy at the LV vs BM Mccort game last week and he mentioned that the Petrof girl might be out a while.  I know she's a superb softball player too.  Any truth that she will be out for the start of hoops?

Give me Central Cambria for sure in Section 1.
Section 2 should be extremely competitive.
