They did what they had to do.  Carroll would of did the same if role was reversed.  Hard to take a stance when you are told vote this way or else.

Seems to be a good choice when this vote directly affected their own athletic programs.

WestPac to Conemaugh Valley - "Hey vote out Blacklick Valley or else you are getting kicked out too"

Conemaugh Valley to WestPac - "We'll never leave them behind, we'll vote ourselves out and join them"

Are they Catholic schools first or are they a sports organization? They should have stood together on principles and fought the public schools in both the courts and the court of public opinion.

Instead they chose sports and the tuition dollars of their student athletes coming to them from West Hills Community Church, Mt. Sinai Baptist, Emmanuel Baptist, St. James Missionary Baptist, Moxham United Methodist Church, Zion Lutheran Church, the Richland Church of Christ, N/A and even Beth Sholom.

Dude it's high school sports, they aren't taking getting kicked out of the LHAC to the Supreme Court.  The Public schools corned McCort and Guilfoyle and held them hostage, and they don't really have any leverage or alternatives.  They didn't have a choice.

I personally don't know why it was so important that Penn Cambria wanted Bishop Carroll out of the league, but they were the school leading the charge.

They put sports before their Catholic principles and hung a fellow Catholic school out to dry. Where is the ethics in that?

And I would have been one of the loudest voices supporting them against the football factories of Forest Hills, Cambria Heights and Richland, all of whom I feel acted in a shameful manner by voting against BC.
