Re: Official: Bishop Carroll is OUT of the LHAC
What I heard was BC would only do it if the other two Catholics would and they both balked at the idea and side with the rest of the conference. I suspect that we will see some merciless football games next year.NLCE1 wrote:Why wouldn't they just let BC play up?
It's more than just points.
Looking at the teams that Ridge played last year in football, wonder if they will want to have a single A team on their schedule, if they decide not to play BC in place of Chestnut Ridge, where will BC find games for football, Md? Wv? or do they just drop football altogether?

Probably six of one, half dozen of another. Bedford travels pretty much 40-60 everywhere they go in either section. CR is what, 20 minutes from Bedford? Travel wise it's probably the same either way. I always thought the sectional swap they did a few years back between Bedford and BC had more to do with BC and CC, since both in Ebensburg-area, wanting to be in the same section. Bedford's going to be outlier no matter where they are.Crimson's Ghost wrote:For Bishop Carroll it wasn't about point systems or playing up - anything like that, I sincerely don't think the league trusted their football program would be able to keep operating. Chestnut Ridge makes the league stronger at this point in time.
I wonder how the sections will work out? I've heard Ridge will slot right into Section I, but for travel, wouldn't they prefer section II with Bedford being in that section?

Will CR in the LHAC take place next year or the year after? Just wondering since they are Tyrones last game the past couple years.

2018. Next school year everything will be the same as this year.

So Ridge will essentially be remarrying their first wife....

Post withdrawn. My bad.
It ain't over until it's over.

The Heritage and WestPac are at the limit of number of teams that they want in their conferences. Will Bishop Carroll be accepted into the Inter-County Conference, Silver Division to be with Glendale, ClaysburgK, and Tussey Mtn?

I have a feeling they won't join any conference until they know that they are even going to be able to field a football team.

The ICC doesn't have divisions any more. It wouldn't make much sense to have them come in without a partner at the very least. I think as far as conferences go, BC's goose is cooked.richie wrote:Will Bishop Carroll be accepted into the Inter-County Conference, Silver Division to be with Glendale, ClaysburgK, and Tussey Mtn? BC sealed their fate several years ago; this is just dragging out in morbid fashion. Sad state of affairs currently for Ebensburg football. Hope they and Central Cambria can both bounce back, but if I'm a BC kid, I'm looking at going back and playing at my home school. Do those players have that option if BC doesn't have a team?
