Jtown vs. BG

Any chance you could speak englishWrasslerfan wrote:Why I see a bunch of bg Homers I give it own a chance
Are you confusing Homer's with people who actually know football. I did see someoneach picked Johnstown based on their gut, without any knowledge of either team, maybe you like that better

Re: Jtown vs. BG
Is Johnstown really that sloppy? Does anyone have penalty stats on the season to back up that statement? I watched Johnstown play BM and BM was the sloppy undisciplined team. When most people picked BM I basically predicated the score exactly so I will do so again.
The streak ends this Friday. BG has been able to beat Johnstown because they have been bigger up front and fast enough in the back end to contain them enough to win. This year BG is just bigger up front but they are not as explosive or fast in the back end. BG at times this year struggle to move the ball and Friday I expect Johnstown to get up early and hold on for the win 20-17. BG misses late field goal to tie.

Re: Jtown vs. BG
I think the sloppy narrative is old, stale and lazy when it comes to Johnstown. Here are the numbers according to MaxPreps:
PC 10-105
BC 5-45
FH 7-47
WH 4-28
Rich 13-151
Som 11-125
Bed 7-52
BM 5-33
Sure, a few 100+ games are in there, but week zero I would throw out just because only one scrimmage is probably going to give you sloppy play. Furthermore, I agree with the sentiment of BM being sloppy in their game with JHS and actually, Forest Hills had some very unlike-them penalties in that game.

Most people seemingly picked Johnstown last week, game played out how I thought as well.theprophet wrote:Is Johnstown really that sloppy? Not as explosive or fast in the back end? Chabourn was out last year. Offensively, the running game was built around Irwin, who is powerful as all getout but not a speedster. Berish has improved and Yasulitis is back. Conrad's as mobile as Trybus. Defensively, the "back end" lost Trybus, but Conrad and Patopa have 7-8 INT's combined. The pressure up front gets a lot of the credit for that. Johnstown will have to establish the run or suffer early turnovers and fall behind. Jtown should take a close look at the 3rd quarter of the BG-Westmont game film. Eleven minutes of ball control nearly broke BG.theprophet wrote:Is Johnstown really that sloppy? I'm looking for a 1st Q pick to get BG rolling.
