Konjos Top 10 College football rankings week 8
Re: Konjos Top 10 College football rankings week 8
That's funny, I've always thought head-to-head meant everything, especially if the teams have the same record or are within one win/loss.El-Moldo wrote:He takes EVERYTHING into consideration. Head to head doesn't always mean anything. He also has Ohio State ranked ahead of Oklahoma, and BOTH have one loss.
Your rationalizations just go wherever the wind blows to support your argument.

Did a head to head win help the Nits get into the final four LAST YEAR after Ohio State got in and they didn't?
Re: Konjos Top 10 College football rankings week 8
Because PSU had two losses and Ohio State had just one....so head to head was decided by your Pitt team. (enjoy this moment)El-Moldo wrote:Did a head to head win help the Nits get into the final four LAST YEAR after Ohio State got in and they didn't?

Ohio state had 1 loss penn state had 2.El-Moldo wrote:Did a head to head win help the Nits get into the final four LAST YEAR after Ohio State got in and they didn't?
Difference is Ohio state has 1 loss now and is ahead of the team that beat them, who has 1 loss, and almost all undefeated teams.
And notre dame is ahead of georgia despite losing to them and georgia not losing at all.
So yeah those rankings you post are worse than garbage

The whole college ranking system is a joke. How can the # 2 team in the nation be a 6.5 point underdog to # 6 ? # 2 should only be underdog to # 1 if rankings are true

Maybe on a neutral field, home field is factored into wagering.

If it’s a coin flip game home teams usually get -3 for home field .. according to rankings this isn’t close to a coin flip.Crimson's Ghost wrote:Maybe on a neutral field, home field is factored into wagering.

upnorth: Thought YOU said "head to head meant everything, especially if the teams have the same record OR ARE WITHIN ONE WIN/LOSS". According to your theory then, PSU should have been given the final spot over OSU in the final four. Guess that statement was in error? And I do relish this moment. Thanks.

That’s exactly why it’s a joke, coaches and ap. Vegas putting real odds on game, to make money. So according to Vegas # 6 better than #2konjo78 wrote:Not to mention coaches ranking and ap polls are not vegas odd makers.
