Ryan Durham Johnstown Head Coach

Post by Crimson's Ghost »

Ryan Durham has been named the head coach for Greater Johnstown, a move that was hinted on here a few weeks ago.  Ryan has worked for both Johnstown and I believe Westmont as an assistant before being the head coach at Ferndale for the past six seasons. He is also running Johnstown's lone AAU program, Winner's Circle Basketball.

Nice pick for Johnstown, he'll do very well there.  Here is his year by year work at Ferndale.

2011-12   - 3-18
2012-13   - 12-10  District Playoff appearance.
2013-14   - 6-15
2014-15   -  13-9  District Playoff appearance.
2015-16   - 19-5  District Playoff appearance.  WestPac runner-up.
2016-17   - 20-6   District 6 semifinals. WestPac runner-up

At Johnstown, he'll inherit 3 returning starters, and 5 of the top 8 players total off a team that made the state's Sweet 16 in AAAA. As well as Bishop McCort's star point guard Imil Britt, who is attending Johnstown now.  Expectations should be high right off the bat for Durham.

I believe so.  He finished the school year there from what I understand.

Also one of the big men from ferndale switched to Johnstown with Durham. I believe Johnstown will be a powerhouse this year.
