Biggest Upset in D6 football playoffs

Post by cleaverstuart »

As [ltr]Fballrules17[/ltr] was asking has there ever been a bigger upset in D6 football history.  I would rank this even above VoTech beating Indiana for a district championship.  Just wondering what everyone else thinks

I would put this #1 based on conference, streak and performances throughout the year.

Lets not forget homer in week 10 squeaked by Portage.

This has to be it. A 3 time State Champ, on a 59 game winning streak. Haven't lost since the last time Homer Center beat them in 2013. This is it!

Prior to tonight, I always thought United going into Tyrone in the late 90's was one of the biggest. But tonight takes the cake.   Great win for Homer Center and Coach Page.   Hope they turn this into a state championship.

I know its not d6 but berlin beating clairton a couple years ago.

Ill also be biased in saying Penns Manor beating up Bellwood was an eye opener for most. A lot of this site had similar thoughts about that game as they did tonight. Thats still behing both BG and HC upsets IMO though

I agree. I just told my son tonight at the game that this game had the same feel as that United/Tyrone game.

HC did a great job of running the ball. They were consistently getting at least 3-4 yards a clip.

Sorry, if someone already mentioned this little trinket of trivia:

BG's last loss, prior to the start of the win streak,....Nov. 23, 2013, four years and 1 day earlier, by a score of 22-12,...to Homer Center.
Congrats HC. People will still be talking about this game 20 years from now.
