I hope they traded center fielders straight up. Nothing would make this deal better than getting Gorkys Hernandez back on the ship... =)) :)) :((

Pirates never seem to make the list
The other 24 teams don't see to make it either.

I know. I don't know why they even post it all the time. It's the same 5-7 teams. Annoys the crap out of me. I just hate that Bob Nutting (Bob Barker in HG)

This is the problem with the Pirates.  Another trade that brings no value in return.  They gave away the staff ace for 2 relievers (Musgrove is not a starter although the Bucs will try to make him one), a minor league utility player (the Bucs will try to make him an everyday third basemen), and an outfielder who will never see PNC Park!  I don’t disagree with moving these guys but my goodness get something in return to build a future around!  I hope I’m wrong and that one of these guys becomes legit, but this seems like more of the same from the Pirates...quantity and years of control for salary purposes over quality for winning purposes!

Btw, this just in...Cutch to the Giants. Another 15 million off the books!

Of the six players they've got back in these two trades, I really only like one of them - Bryan Reynolds from the Giants. I wish they would have gotten more players like him.

Reynolds listed as Giants #4 prospect and was a minor league all star last year. Hope he pans out.

Anxious to see what the Moran kid can bring to the table. 3B has been a weak spot for years (other than when Kang was available). Moran was a former 6th overall pick and was one of the best players in the NCAA while at UNC. With Bregman in front of him he was expendable in Houston.

Seems like he'll be the everyday third basemen. They may trade Freese as well.
