Recruiting allegations at Osborne St. AC
Recruiting allegations at Osborne St. AC
An article will be in tomorrow’s Tribune-Democrat outlining allegations from suspended wrassling coach Allen Andrews against Brian Basile, Tom Smith and Tom Fleming. Andrews sent a letter to District 6 accusing the three of conducting illegal recruiting visits. D6 is waiting for a response.

The prior wrestling coach definitely did that. McCort probably never should have started a wrestling program, it has caused more trouble than it is worth in my opinion. Most McCort fans/alums feel that way from what I’ve been able to gather.

It's all about the religious experience.

Read the article, Mr. Andrews comes across as a disgruntled ex-coach that's upset he's in trouble more than anything.

Re: Recruiting allegations at Osborne St. AC
I have two issues with this whole article/letter
1) He only brings these alligations to light after he is on the outs with the program he obsivly knew of them while they were going on, but said nothing because he still had a position makes you just as bad.
2) He deflects all blame for any wrong doing away from the wrestling program which anyone thats around the wrestling community knows that is so far from the truth

I'll re-read the letter, but I didn't really think much of it considering the source.

I tend to think all of this is 100% about the wrestling program. I'm still not exactly sure why they even started one.SPORTSGURU814 wrote:2) He deflects all blame for any wrong doing away from the wrestling program which anyone thats around the wrestling community knows that is so far from the truth

Ha! Last year when the Osborne St. AC was placed on probation, Andrews was, according to a poster on this very site going by the handle crushersports,Lefteyelouie wrote:Yeah Crimson... just a disgruntled coach, nothing to see here..
“Or a principal with no testicular fortitude who threw an old wrestling coach down the river. One who wasn’t even on the school’s payroll...”
The thought at the time was Andrews was merely the fall guy. That seemed to be confirmed shortly thereafter when the AC’s board fired two other wrestling coaches.
Where there’s smoke, fire usually follows.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the head of D6 hasn’t already placed the AC on double secret probation.
