You ever see Dubois away side. Don't know how that place gets chosen for playoff games.PortagePride wrote:I'd Imagine because the size of the visitor side bleachers. It's not the smallest I've ever seen but It's not really a reasonable size for a District Championship teams fans/band to have to squeeze Into.EnzoLigoniere wrote:Why isn't Saint Francis ever in the discussion?

St. Francis usually is still playing. They are away this week, but in some years they could be at home. So it’s not as easy to host 2-3 D6 title games there in one weekend if Saint Francis is home. And yea the away side isn’t very big, would be tough to accommodate a Richland/Ligonier game with a big crowd anticipated.
You don’t have to really worry about Altoona because at that point of the playoffs even if they are still alive they wouldn’t be playing at Mansion Park.
I still think Altoona is the logic site on all fronts.

SFU is still better than some schools with either a grass field or bleachers on only 1 side. Then there's the portable closed canopy that the visitors' team used to have to use instead of a regular locker room. Granted that was a number of years ago, back when BC was a good team. The worst part of Mansion for this side of the mountain is the travel in possible wintry or white-out conditions on the Summit.
It ain't over until it's over.
