If the award is "Overall" player of the year, I'm not sure Tutino and Fyfe can match Cecere's production on defense. He was outstanding on both sides of the ball this year and FH is probably 2-3 win team without him. He would have my vote even if his team didn't win a District title.
Cecere is really good, but completed less than 50% of his passes on a 3rd place team.  Best two-way players on the best team were Instone, Vogelsberger, and Burke. Give the lineman some love.

To win an overall player of the year award as a linemen, you better have 20+ sacks. Do any of those guys have those kind of stats?

To win player-of-the-year on a 3rd place team, you'd better be far and away the best player at your position. Did he have a better year than Fyfe, Hauser, or Caldwell?

If you saw him play you wouldn't be asking. There's a reason he had some college interest as a QB before picking baseball and the others do not. As good as the other 3 are, each of those 3 teams would be better with Cecere under center IMO

Yes, if you factor in defense into the award.

Saw him look fairly average against Richland. Better on D actually. If this is a lifetime achievement award, or best 3-sport athlete award, he wins hand-down. Just don't think he was POY THIS YEAR.

Maybe that's just a testament to Richland for making him look average.

I think it’s the other way around chose baseball because football wasn’t in the picture average QB at best and that’s having seen him since a freshman maybe different positions would of generated more interest from some schools

Average at best? So in your opinion you could go to any high school football game and expect to see an Adam Cecere or better playing for both teams?
Even against Richland who was the best team in the area he threw for 250 yards and 2 TD's not exactly bad. Not saying he's a D1 QB but he would have definitely gotten looks had he not picked baseball prior to his junior year
