is duke/unc the best college rivalry in any sport?
Sports999999999999999 you can argue a lot of points but i find it odd that you went for the fan craziness...
Have you ever been to cameron indoor arena before they hosted UNC? As much as I dislike Duke, their fans are top notch. They go completely insane.
I still stick to my original point...so much more emotion is displayed during a college basketball game, it's easily the home of the best rivalry of all sports.
The Red Sox/Yankees thing isn't as heated IMO because they're all pros. They're doing this stuff for a job, to get paid, not necissarily for the love of the game. I'm not saying this is the case with all players in the pros but when you sit back and think "I'm making 6 figures this game whether i win or lose..." That has to carry some weight.
