yes, he's had some great talent...in a couple of different waves...but he's done a nice job making that talent become a team.....not everyone that's dealt a hand knows how to play it....and I think his wrestlers appreciate what he adds to the program...

Just to clear things up so some people don't get the wrong impression from what they may read on this forum. First, I did not apply for the Bedford coaching position when the job was open a couple years ago. Coach Topper did a fine job and I think given time, the program would have headed in the right direction under his watch. I wish him all the best. Second, I have the utmost respect for the Bedford program. There are very very few AA programs that I would possibly be interested in, but Bedford may be one of those few. That said, I have no immediate intentions of applying for the current Bedford coaching position. At this moment, I'm rather busy coaching summer freestyle (which I wish had more participation); preparing for the camp that I hold annually at C-K; working on fundraisers to enable any jr. high or varsity wrestler, who would like, to go to the UPJ summer camp, being a husband and father; serving as the District VI Coaches Association President; and of course there's that full time teaching job I hold. Hopefully this ends any discussion about me. Surely you all have much better and more interesting things to discuss. Best of luck to all wrestlers, fans and coaches! Have a great summer!

Sounds like Marko isn't sure whether or not to apply for the Bedford position. I heard that Two years ago he did apply, not at Bedford, but at Punxsutawney H.S. . He landed the job and then turned it down.

I wonder if any other names are floating around out there of potential candidates?

I believe Mr. Marko is a great coach. He always keeps his team close together. I believe that is key in wrestling. If a coach can do that, each wrestler will push the other wrestler. Making the team strong as a whole. That is one thing i've always noticed lately about the Claysburg wrestling team. It looks like they have a great team chemistry and that comes from good coaching.
