Hollywood, you serve an indispensible role on BC as an object of hatred, scorn, ridicule, envy...whatever -- just exactly what you intend. Without your noisy, cantankerous presence it would be a quieter but much duller place. My other observation is that in your heart of hearts you're secretly sorry about the recent difficulty for the Lions despite your strong ties to WVU. Your constant belittling of all things Blue and White is simply a disguised cry for pain. You know I'm right. You took all those stupid psych courses too!

Just for the record...I didn't give you a warning. I'm not sure who did but it wasn't me. I would never vote off the best football player on this side of the mississippi!

Re: Penn St. vs BOSTON COLLEGE
foghorn,
What are you talking about? The little Lions are bad and I am very proud I didn't go there because I have had plenty of success where I went so I don't get that point. I am not jacked at my team because they are a great program and will continue to be. Once a Mountaineer, Always a Mountaineer and proud of it, maybe if you did anything for a college of this size you would be proud of yourself like myself. Until then don't tell me what I should and should do!! Go EERS. #7 in the nation!

Re: Penn St. vs BOSTON COLLEGE
This website is for everyones own personal views. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Hollywood is stating a opinion that everyone on here just cant seem to grasp. Do you honestly think he would just talk smack to to smack, because he brother paid there so he has ties there just like he does at wvu. Everyone on this board wants to post how psu is this powerhouse, they were yes but times are changing, are they still getting talent yes, but are they winning, no, so that is a direct result of the poor outdated coaching staff. Its time everyone gets out of the clouds and realizes that there are other top notch teams and better coaches throughout the country.
Earlier people stated about PSU getting better talent than WVU that is really funny because PSU offered Holly and Wiley and many others and they chose WVU so you figure it out. Chris Henry could have gone to any school that he wanted to.

Re: Penn St. vs BOSTON COLLEGE
I can understand when people state their opinions but palerider you're about the biggest hypocrite i've ever seen.
You started off by saying this is a site for people to post their own opinions. You really should have just stopped there. You basically say everyone is entitled to their own opinion...unless you don't agree with it, then we should all "get out of the clouds." Then you go on to draw conclusions based on absolutley no factual information whatsoever.
I'm still trying to figure out what you were getting at with the last thing you said. Because Hollywood didn't go to PSU and since he chose WVU then we are all to believe WVU has been and always will have the best football program in America? Apparently at age 18 he was the superior judge of all of football. I'm actually surprised it didn't make ESPN when he declinded his offer to PSU. Anyone of his stature should have made every newspaper headline in the USA.
After all that...my only request is that in the future you proofread your posts so we don't have to reread each line 3 times and try and guess what word you actually meant. I'm not talking perfection but little things like:
'paid' isn't the same word as 'played' - those darn "semi-homophones" will get ya everytime!
"talk smack to to smack" - that was kind of an important part to your rambling...probably should have remembered all the words
and the theory "when in doubt use a comma" doesn't always pan out

Are you kidding me? Are you the judge of all coaching staffs? What experience do you have judging the quality of a coaching staff?palerider wrote:so that is a direct result of the poor outdated coaching staff
THEY'VE LOST ONE GAME? How can you possibly draw conclusions of the quality of the coaching staff or the quality of the team based upon 2 games?palerider wrote:are they still getting talent yes, but are they winning, no

Well, now I know who can't take a little playful sarcasm.
And you're right. The only thing I ever did for Penn State was get a degree and then use it to teach for almost 30 years and in the process perhaps make a positive difference in the lives of a few kids, though that's not for me to say. Maybe that's not "anything," but it might be considered "something." I'm sure Joe would -- but then what does he know?
Personally I lament my alma mater's decline, but I'm open-minded enough to praise WVU's success. My only concern is that if the "EERs" have a really great season, there won't be enough couches around to burn. The boys will have to make raids into PA to maintain the supply -- sort of like the way we used to make beer runs down there in the good old days.

Re: Penn St. vs BOSTON COLLEGE
Those were two or three guys. MORE people pick PSU over WVU if offered by both.

Holly,
OK, so you went to WVU and ended up as the 5th or 6th option at WR by your sr. year...You coulda been a contendah and a hall of famer at IUP!
WT
PS: Not a flame: Where are you coaching this fall?
