hmm. me thinks Mary Chaney is a paid representative of the Elect Bush campaign. Is not she more than the VP daughter.
I think Rush Limbaugh, on his way to divorce number three, hillbilly herion addict, referred to Chelsee Clinton as a dog.
On the Drudge Report this summerr, I remember seeing a very revealing picture of one of Kerry's daughter at the Cannes Film Festival. See through top, kind of a Janet Jackson moment if you will. Oh wait, she was in France. The nerve! Let me eat some Freedom Fries.[/quote]
Lemmy, some of you're posts are odd. Just, really, really odd.
First, Mary Cheney is not a paid representative that I know of in this campaign. Unlike what Mary Beth Cahill said, a candidates kids are off limits, period. That's just common sense and courtesy between the candidates.
Rush Limbaugh and Matt Drudge are not a government officials running for office. Therefore, he is not different than you or I making statements about a Presidents kids. There is a very DISTINCTIVE difference there. Imagine the outrage if President Bush would've brought that photo up in the debate.

NEW YORK - Illinois Republican Senate candidate Alan Keyes has labeled homosexuality "selfish hedonism" and said Vice President Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter is a sinner.

Re: 3rd Debate
To show you how much class the Bush/Cheney people have there hasn't been anything come out from there about Heinz Kerry or Edwards wife.
Both are just begging to me made an example of. Theresa running her mouth and Edwards wife for running after every ice cream truck in the upper mid west. Neither Bush or Cheney said anything personal about their opponents candidates.
Get your facts straight Lemmy, Limbaugh is talk show host not a candidate. Its crude to compare Limbaugh's rants on the radio preaching to the choir to the callous and rude remark made by Kerry-Edwards toward the Cheney's. If Bush made a similar remark he would get crucified by the press. The worst part of this matter is that Kerry and Edwards made no mistake they wanted to make this an issue and embarass the Cheney's.
Coup d'etat..........Nov.2!

"I'm your huckleberry"
*If my head is screwed up (which it isn't, according to my team of shrinks!) it's because I grew up in a Republican household. But I've been deprogrammed, unlike some people. And I'm a a lot more openminded about things than you and LP put together. Of course, under present neocon mores, being openminded is reason for ridicule. I can live (reluctantly) with another Bush presidency. But if Kerry's elected I half expect you guys to take up arms. (Please stay away from my place. I'm a liberal, but I still have guns. I'll fight against the barbarian hordes with you though). Heck, I even used to belong to the NRA. I quit that group about the same time I quit the ACLU.
*My God, Southpaw, you sound like Mary Matalin swooning over DC! I totally agree that Cheney has played a big role in this administration. Picture a ventriloquist and his dummy and you have it. And don't even get me started about Halliburton. For years I've done a lot of reading about Cheney from a variety of sources -- rad left to rad con -- and I've made up my mind: he's bad news for our country -- he's BEEN bad news for our country. I admit, I'm closeminded about him.
I would suggest that Mary Mapes is an anomaly and that Rather has been slowly slicing his own throat for years. As far as the 90 percent of journalists being liberal, what antiquated poll was that based upon? Are you talking print, radio, tv, or all combined? It fails to take into consideration the growing power of the internet and especially Blogworld, where it's a real free for all. Don't tell me everybody's liberal there -- not by a longshot.
When I think about it, why do we even argue? There's a better chance of Penn State being undefeated next year than changing each others' minds.
So on that note, some of us are having a Michael Moore filmfest before the Steeler game. Hope you guys can make it. I promise to play some Hannity reruns.

Re: 3rd Debate
Lemmy you keep bringing up people and quotes to justify what Kerry and Edwards say just like the liberals throw enough mud maybe some will stick. Has Bush or Cheney done anything to their opponents families. NO. I don't think so. Kerry and Edwards have shown absolutely no class or morals on this latest attack to embarass our VP and his family. Shameless!

"I'm your huckleberry"
Cheney brought up his daughter in the 2000 campaign, so even though Kerry was foolish to make his comments, the door was already open. And I'm tired of everybody's righteous indignation over this goof by Kerry. You're gonna get as much mileage out of it as possible -- now that's desperation!

Re: 3rd Debate
That would be 90% of the mainstream media - you know, those stations that most people watch to (NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN). Thank goodness that FoxNews is filling a void with fair and balanced reporting.
So you grew up in a Republican household? You rebel.
We argue for the same reasons candidates talk to crowds of people that are voting for them. To get the undecideds to see our point of view, and to get anyone that's wavering on your dark side to switch over to the good side.
Please make sure you show Celcius 411 after you show Moore's movie of lies to be fair and balanced.

Re: 3rd Debate
Remember LP foghorn grew up in the "make love not war" generation. Bandanas and Bob Dylan made it easy to be a rebel. LP did you get the ice cream truck jab?

Re: 3rd Debate
Almost forgot, its okay to talk about your own kids not somebody's elses in public and certainly not in a campaign to score political points. It is tasteless.
