[quote="LionPride";p="74361"]But I do believe that the far left of your party would like to take you to a place that can only be bad for everyone.

Just as the far right does. The extremes are on either side are bad for everyone.

Re: GOP Agenda
I think its time to define the far right and far left.
Far left- defined as someone with a hammer and sickle tat and thinks Castro is really cool.
1. the commies and marxists.... yes there are some in America more than you know.
2. The environmental wackos- the hard core tree huggers from greenpeace
3. The George Soros wing.... those who want a "New World Order"...the elitsts
4. The Michael Mooronians....who are anti-everything exept anti-abortion
5. The ACLU!
Far right- defined as someone with a swastika tat and a white hood
1. Obviously the KKK
2. The militias...gun owner extremists.
3. Neo-nazis
4. LP....just kidding

Re: GOP Agenda
Just the same, I'm tired of this too. I don't want religion in my government. I don't want prayers read aloud in state sponsored schools. Sure, give everybody a silent time for prayer, respect, meditation, whatever, but I'd draw the line at any kind of spoken or loudspeaker prayer, whether it's to God, Allah, the Virgin Mary, whatever. That's what they have Catholic and private schools for.
And I do believe in a higher power, but I don't believe in one that wants to dictate every little thing that we should and should not do. I believe in a higher power that created the heavens and the earth, and all the other nice little stuff, but I don't believe in one that's going to tell us that we can't think certain thoughts or do certain things that don't harm anybody else. I believe in a higher power that wants us to love one another and not harm one another, but not one that wants to manage our entire lives.
And in the Bible, Koran, whatever, these religions want you to give yourself completely and totally over to your faith. Most people don't do it, but that's what I've heard in church time and again. Maybe you went to a church that didn't preach that, but I remember well that mine did.
And that's a summary of what I believe. No use in going into personal details (note the word personal), and I'm sure I'm going to get beaten into a bloody pulp some more for being a pagan or not having faith or whatever.

Our constitution guarantees us the right to freedom of religion. It is the basic premise that God wants each of us to choose to follow him, the "free will". We have the freedom to choose if, how, and when we worship.
The Judeo Christian law provides the framework for us to all get along. Plain and simple.
