And from 86-91 they were 39-21-3 making the WPIAL semis and quarterfinals.
In the 1960s they were 62-27-5
In the 1950s they were 74-23-3

Again, you pick out your history but overall history suggests otherwise.

Fact: Johnstown is a AAA school.

Question: How many AAA schools are in the LHAC?

No better question, How many AAA schools were in the LHAC in 2001 when Johnstown entered?

Penn Cambria
Central Cambria
Somerset
plus Johnstown.....4.

Not their fault every area around them is shrinking.

Fact: Portage has never won district 6.

Question: Will they ever? I say no.

That's because they couldn't compete in AA!

I don't buy it. If that's true then what has changed in 10 years that they would be back in AA? Why would they still not play up for a better shot of competing?

The 90's CC was AAA in everything and early 2000's back and fourth. Now they don't have the kids they once did so everything is AA now.

I didn't know they played up.. Either way they had to have been very close to AAA in the early 2000's when Johnstown first entered. I know they don't translate, but they were AAA for basketball, and that basically means they were a big AA school, kinda like how Forest Hills is AAA for hoops now.
