Where did Ligonier Valley apply for membership first?
Where did Ligonier Valley apply for membership first?
At this late date a decision had to be made whether to first apply for the LHAC or the WPIAL.
The decision can't be held off until the Ligonier Valley school board meeting on November 14th because the PIAA will be announcing the enrollment data and any district changes on that day.
Somebody knows which way the athletic director and coach is leaning.
Keeping us in suspense is petty.

WPIAL is what I heard. Not sure how reliable the source is though.

I've heard WPIAL also. I've said for two years that Liggy will end up back in the WPIAL someday, I just thought it might take longer. I also think the the delay is that many people believe Liggy will drop back down to A (and possibly stay in the Heritage) which although the enrollment is steadily declining there are many Western PA schools decling just as fast or almost as fast. Lets face it in antoher 10 years the vast majority of A & AA will be in western PA and the majority AAA & AAAA will be in the east

Weller Field NEEDS an upgrade in the worst way wherever they go.
GCC and Jeannette will beat the Rams by 45
Not like it would be any better playing Johnstown and Forest Hills.

Are there any advantages of LV playing in the WPIAL over playing in the LHAC?

Yes. There are better hospitals down that way than up here in Johnstown.richaboli wrote:Are there any advantages of LV playing in the WPIAL over playing in the LHAC?

Clever,
I've heard people saying Ligonier will be A because there enrollment is dropping. Well all the teams under them are dropping also. The PIAA keeps the team in each class about the same. So for Ligonier to drop to A teams below them need to get more students. I don't see that happening.
