I would agree for the most part except AA is way off. BEA is too high in AA. They have been down for quiet some time. Yes they're 4-0, but they only beat Chestnut Ridge 28-26, a game in which the difference was point afters. The same CR team that got spanked by Central. I've got Central -24 this weekend against BEA. Central also beat Tyrone 28-0, you can rank Tyrone ahead of them. Also Ligonier has yet to prove they can beat anybody outside of the Heritage.

Mine would go:
1. Richland
2. PC
3. Central
4. Tyrone
5. Forest Hills
6. Liggy
7. CH
8. BEA

When it somes to ligonier i am basing them off of their pure dominance this season. They literally held marion center under 0 yards in total offense this weekend. AA is my weakness though. I focus on A. I think heritage is very good this year. With that i feel homer center is an overrated 4-0. Yes they beat nc but they have yet to play Blrsv pm or lv. I think most of the LHAC is highly overrated and its very weak this year. I also feel Westpac stinks... sorry westpac fans i know its rude just how i feel. ICC is the power conference this year in my mind. Also i think tyrone is not same team from start of year why they are higher.

Mifflin County, not West Mifflin.

The reason Tyrone looks like a different team is because they have played a couple of 0-4 teams the past two weeks, two teams that may be the worst two teams in the MAC. If they challenge Clearfield when they play them I may agree with you more. Ligonier will probably do what they do every year and run through the Heritage and then have trouble in the playoffs when they actually meet some real competition. Richland, PC, and Central are the class of AA this year with Tyrone probably at #4.

Not rude at all.. we all have opinions. If I were to be honest, I'd say the WestPac isn't quite as strong this year than in the past although I feel there are 2 or 3 teams that could beat anyone the Heritage has to offer. Not sure of head to head records up to this point so correct me if I'm wrong but the WestPac has a 3-1 advantage.

The WestPac will get a better sense of where we stand with them coming up with some good games yet to be played. Windber/Ligonier and Berlin/Northern Cambria games will tell alot. I know I definitely don't like Windbers chances as much with our best lineman on both sides of the ball on the sidelines this week but I have confidence one of the younger guys will step up. We shall see...

I'm with Ramblinman on this one, records have shown thus far. Should be interesting to see how the rest play out. Also the last time any of the ICC teams from District 5 won the district title was Northern Bedford in 1998. They have been knocked out year in and year out by the WestPac

Ya,you just confused on what you base this opinion on without you explaining, however thats why this is a message board and opinions are opinions. I feel the WestPac is usually pretty top heavy, but so is most every other conference. And when we've split up going outta conference for regular season/district playoff games against these other conferences we've faired quite well most of the time within the last 7 or so years. I'm real excited to see some more of these cross conference WestPac vs Heritage matchup's and to see how Portage stacks up against 2 of their better teams Blairsville and Homer Center later this year.

This may be an ignorant question and I must be missing something in the scheduling but does Portage only have 8 WestPac games scheduled. I thought everyone was to play 9 games within the WestPac. I only questioned this after you posted that the Mustanges play 2 games against Heritage league teams.

4 teams westpac has played out of heritage.
1. United 0-4
2. Penns Manor 3-1
3. Saltsburg 0-4
4. Purchase Line 0-4

The only team you played that hasn't been getting run over in the heritage is Penns Manor and they crushed CV 53-6. I honestly think you have won your three games in this series. I think the rest of this series will go to Heritage as the WestPac will stop playing the bottom stompers of the heritage into their other elite teams.
