HERITAGE WEEK 12

Post by HSfan »

Week 12
Last week 1-2 and 47-10 ytd.

Northern Cambria (8-3) 14
Bishop McCort (8-3) 28

This could be a closer game. Northern Cambria has been up and down this year and so has Bishop McCort. Both teams can pass with two good QB's in the Colts' Jeff Hogan and the Crushers' Zaine Tomkowski who was 8-13-1-208 and 3 TD's last week to beat Penns Manor.

Forest Hills (8-3) 14
Ligonier Valley (10-1) 17

Forest Hills, the winner of six straight, plays excellent defence and has a very balanced attack. Ligonier Valley RB Ryan Torrance with 1413 yd rushing and 26 TD's will need help from QB Scott Fennell, 49-91-2-849 and 11 TD's.

Both games Saturday 7 PM

WOW j. d.

I do not use MAXPREPS for my forecast. BUT, they rate LV 20.9 and FH 13.8. This would make LV about a 9 point favorite at home. I have LV by only 3. Most people have FH by 2 TD's. Is that not a more radial forecast than mine?MAXPREPS maybe off, but by 3 1/2 TD's? We will see Saturday night.

I wouldn't trust Maxpreps for such things, but Ligonier needs to be able to defend the pass, and run very well over a good defense. They could win, but I don't see it.

I am picking both Heritage teams this week. First, LV has shown more confidence and now the monkey of playoff win is off their backs. I say 28 - 21. Just a hunch about NC, they are not better than BM but I feel this group of NC players knows how to win. This is all predicated on NC taking care of the ball. If they don't it will get ugly the other way. I think NC will limit big plays better than PM and take care of the football. NC - 21 - 17.

I realize I am the only non-Heritage cheerleader to see it this way.

The paper today said Ligonier is 0-11 alltime vs FH. There was a game back when J.D.Jones was head Coach, FH played Liggy at the Point. Liggy was heavily favored in that one too, but the Rangers prevailed. It's why they play the games.

I'm going with the LHAC on this one because BMW is too good to lose to NC who even though looked great last week will not be able to pull of another upset. And as for FH it should be close but in the end the Rangers should win it.
