Re: Pens/Flyers
I think their will be hockey, but it will probably come down to the last minute. That is how Donald Fehr operates. I think people are expecting the deal tonight and I hope that is the case, but I expect Fehr told get every last bit he can out of this.
Supposedly, the schedule will be 7 games against each division opponent. That is murderers row for Atlantic division teams. Rangers, Flyers, Devils 21 of your 48 games and the isles are improving.

Yeah 48 game schedule, and it only comes within your conference as well.
28 Games against your division, 2 games apiece with all of the other Eastern teams.

I like that. I don't think conferences should play each other. Much more fun that way

If a team from the Atlantic Division wins the cup, it will be well earned. Arguably the best division in sports (besides the new AL East) in a condensed 48 game clip, plus an always grueling playoffs.

Re: Pens/Flyers
Like I said yesterday, a deal looked close, but Fehr will get every last bit he can out of the owners. A deal will get done January 11th and not before. It amazes me that Hockey was just finally starting to win back fans from the last lockout and the greediness got the best of both sides again. I hope if they play this year they play in front of half empty arenas all year. Fans need to show both sides who is most important to them making money.
