Pirates vs Snakes - weekend series

Post by Coach »

The Bucs win game one and Cole keeps growing into a serious MLB ace.

Burnett is up next and the Bucs are over .500 at 9-8.

Gerrit Cole was NASTY last night. Hitting 98 mph in the 8th inning. He has the chance to be something special.

Arizona isn't a very good team, would really like to get a sweep here. Hopefully Burnett continues to pitch well, maybe he'll get some run support too.

Yankees are on just as much of a roll as the Mets right now. Exciting time right now in NYC for Major League Baseball fans.

Crimson...Arizona's Lineup isn't terrible but their pitching staff is less than to be desired. Gotta score some runs on them and hope the starting pitching keeps the door closed and the bullpen can tighten down and get the W.

It's nice to see different guys stepping up every night when Cutch is struggling. As soon as he starts hitting the ball this team could go on a nice run.

Sampson lost his 'mojo' when Delilah sheared his locks.

Even though it is early in the season, the Bucs have a big stretch of games coming up. The next twelve are against Central division teams with six of them against the Cards. Would be great to see an 8-4 or 7-5 record in the next twelve with at least three of those wins against the Cards.

With wainwright possibly out for the year I'd say the Pirates have a good chance at taking 4 or 5 from the cards.

Don't get ahead of yourself. The Cardinals still have Wacka, Lackey, Lynn and Martinez on the bump and a dang solid lineup. They'll also make a push for Cole Hamels I'm sure.
