Pens roster attending Johnstown game
Pretty sad to see the big names skip this event.... you'd think the pens would give back to a fan base but hey that's not important. If I was the NHL id fine the organization and players if they don't even show up to the game.
Re: Pens roster attending Johnstown game
Nobody say/reply anything to this.....this is so incredibly stupid and irrelevant and unrealistic that it needs to standalone.

Yes it is stupid that Star pens players won't be playing in this an embarrassment to NHL and the pens

You do understand the Pens play three days in a row right? Tomorrow night they play in Pittsburgh where people ate paying probably over $50 a seat to see the Stars also. I think Geno is enough star power to make it worth Johnstown's attention.

This is a smart move by the Pens. First off as mentioned they have 3 games in a row. 2nd off, the War Memorial is not regulation size of an NHL rink. It's much smaller. Meaning more of a chance to get hit due to more confined spaces. Konjo....you out did yourself on this one bud.

Yes, fine them for not playing all their star players in a PRESEASON game. Let's just make a rule out of thin air and fine them.

The Pens could have sent over a AAA roster if they wanted, they are still sending over Evgeni Malkin, one of the best players on the planet. That's pretty good if you ask me.
Re: Pens roster attending Johnstown game
I'm pretty sure the NHL schedule for the year was figured -BEFORE- all this Hockeyville hubbub ever came about. Since you can't be in more than one place at the same time, and "real" exhibition games were scheduled in other cities, it only made sense to have a split squad play in J'town. I will add though, even if Sid, Flower, Letang, Kessel weren't going to PLAY in J'Town, they should at least appear as part of the circus and do signings, promo's, or just be seen there because they are part of the team, and the fan base expects them to be there. Average Joe who buys tickets to a sporting event months ahead of the scheduled game, goes to the game, then finds out his favorite star is 'taking the night off', is not a happy camper. Happens too many times.
It ain't over until it's over.

I never thought I would be able to say this but... that is without a doubt the dumbest post you've ever made Konjo. Congrats.

No, it still doesn't rival his "Max Talbot is a better all around hockey player than Sidney Crosby" argument from a few seasons ago.
