First, I wanted to know how this season's record compares to previous seasons' records for each head coach.

I think another valuable piece of information is where the teams finish vs. where the teams were picked in the preseason coaches poll. I'd have to back and look, but I would guess Heights was picked 5th in section I and they appear on their way to a second place finish in that section.

What about actually coaching, everyone thought that BG would be real good and they are
But which coach got his team to play better as aa team.
Jarrod lewis has his team playing hard , I agree that they aren't the best team in the conference but his job coaching has been very good
Meanwhile Penna has more talent than anyone but does his coaching show ?

Best-

Wheeler, Steele, Landis and Bailey (FH)

Middle-

Basile, Bailey (Rich), Lewis, Corrente

Bottom-

Barron, Grassi, Ridgeley, Penna

Are you seriously saying Don Bailey could be coach of the year in the LHAC,

no, not really. I just tiered where I think coaches are overall. Not really just this year.

If you are talking overall I would slide Brandon Bailey to the top tier and Steele to the middle tier.

Bailey, does a lot of stuff and definitely is solid. But he has yet to coach up a team that isn't loaded. He had his run with players and now has been lower middle of the pack the past 2 years. That is why I put him in the middle.

Landis has turned a poor Somerset program around. Wheeler's state title and this year speak for him being there. Bailey (FH) body of work. Steele had a rough start but won 8 and 9 games past 2 years with virtually no seniors, now barring something unforeseen an undefeated season. That's why I placed those 4 at the top.

Big time talent made a lot of these coaches look good. Good weight trainers putting time in as well as the kids. Was bg any good since the last two years? Bailey is the best all around coach hands down. He has no talent at fh at all and injuries this yr or they would be a lot better. Bedford coach can never win the big game. Not sold on landis. I like what westmont and ch are doing right now with nothing.

Westmont is terrible, CH brought most of their team back and should be better this year.

Wheeler won a state title, it takes a good coach to do that.
Landis turned a terrible football program at Somerset around. He has to be a pretty good coach
Bailey, is a legend, not the program he used to have but still pretty darn good.
Steele, assuming they go undefeated will have 27 regular season wins over the past 3 years. Pretty solid considing the past 2 years they had almost no seniors starting.

I have no clue how you can include Barron from Westmont in the group. True doesn't have great athletes. But I don't see much going on there to make me say, wow, good job coaching them up.
