Life is not a spectator sport

Post by 12HankQB »

As we enter deeper into the Fall season, the air is becoming cool and crisp, leaves are changing into their colorful plumage, and football playoffs are growing ever so near. There will be endless arguments of who's team is going to win or why our teams lost. Trophies will be raised. Seniors will be taking the field for one last time.  During these times, we put life on hold to forget about reality. We don't think about issues at work, financial struggles, or health problems. Win or lose, we cherish those times of joy or accomplishment from our boys of Fall. Sometimes we lose touch that these moments do not matter nearly as much as those away from the field.

Many may already know that Berlin has a young man who's turning his moments into something much bigger. Senior kicker, Carter Raupach has been turning his love of kicking a football into fighting a battle against childhood cancer. With every kick, Carter is raising money to help pediatric cancer research. It is absolutely amazing that one high school senior has been making such a difference. We Are Central PA

Carter, we thank you for all of your hard work and selflessness. You've set a great example of how life is truly not a spectator sport and by doing something so simple we can all make a huge difference in the lives of others. Remembering no matter what happens on the field under the lights, there is a larger purpose to life.

Thank you

Always knew there was something special about the Young Man. Way to lead by example Carter on and off the field. Was fortunate to watch you play once or twice a year for the last four years. Was always amazed by your gift to kick the rock, now to find out your better qualities are off the field..Just an Awesome story! Kudos Hank!
