PSACs

Post by knowitall »

The PA State Athletic Conference will hold its baseball championships at Point Stadium again this year.  The tournament begins on Wednesday.  Admission is $15.  I’m guessing this allows you entry to the whole tournament.  This will be the best baseball the stadium sees this year.  The eight schools participating are Bloomsburg, West Chester, Millersville, Slippery Rock, Gannon, Mercyhurst and Seton Hill.  Yes, the three Catholic schools claimed spots in the Western Section over the likes of IUP, Cal U and the thirteenth place 9-19 Mountain Cats of UPJ.

Central's Mike Mock picked up back to back saves over the weekend for Millersville. Good luck to his squad this week.

$15 to get in? That definitely deters the casual fan from popping in to catch a game.

This financial rape was discussed at length last year.  Yeah, you gotta pay for use of decent facilities, but let the participating schools, with much deeper pockets, do it, not Joe "Casualfan".

It would be a good deal if you were going to more than one game.  Here's Wednesday's schedule:  9:30  Bloomsburg-Slippery Rock;  12:30 West Chester-Seton Hill; 3:30 Millersville-Gannon; 6:30 Shippensburg-Mercyhurst

As long as they allow re-entry, I don't think it's a terrible deal.  Catch one game in the morning, and one in the evening isn't bad.

It's $15 each day. That sucks for the few parents that actually make the trip.

Catholic schools have more money, and we all know money talks in sports.
