Mapletown is forfeiting it’s game with Clairton this weekend. Mapletown apparently only has 14 players.

What school district will they be consolidating with?

Not sure if they are on the verge of consolidating, but in terms of a co-op, I'm guessing Carmichaels HS would make sense.

Mapletown lost 14-12 to Avella last week. I wonder how many kids were dressed for that game.

I believe 16.  They have 18 total it said in the one article I read but have already sustained injuries.

Maybe BC could just play Clairton this weekend instead of going to Ohio

I don't believe the WPIAL allows it's teams to play non-WPIAL schools outside of the first week of games.

Saltsburg will probably be consolidated with Blairsville within the next 2 years for football. This year Saltsburg had 18 start last week and they are all ready down to 16 for this week from what I have been told.

Why is Pennsylvania still hung up on this old fashioned idea that every poor little municipality need it's own school district?

I've thought the same thing for years. A lot of schools should be either consolidated or just closed .For example , Juanita Valley and Williamsburg are neighboring school districts. Combine them they would make a small AA school......maybe
