Re: Crossover LHAC
BG and PC should be a hell of a game. I think Clearfield will put a thumping on Bedford since they got snubbed out of the title game. If Tyrone wins they get the 3rd seed and play the winner of Forest Hills and Central.
Re: Crossover LHAC
How the HE## does a single A that recruits from anywhere get the break over a 4A undefeated team?
It ain't over until it's over.

It’s just crazy that the tiebreaker comes down to the SOS of 3 non mutual teams when it should be performance against the teams that were mutualManfred wrote: October 19th, 2024, 10:53 am How the HE## does a single A that recruits from anywhere get the break over a 4A undefeated team?

Is there really a perfect tiebreaker?CCDevil2012 wrote: October 19th, 2024, 1:27 pmIt’s just crazy that the tiebreaker comes down to the SOS of 3 non mutual teams when it should be performance against the teams that were mutualManfred wrote: October 19th, 2024, 10:53 am How the HE## does a single A that recruits from anywhere get the break over a 4A undefeated team?
If you do it the way you are suggesting, likely who is #1 would be based off who has the better JV. How many of PC, Clearfield, and BG’s games had the starters playing in the fourth quarter?
Personally, I’d like to see the league for all sports go back into an East West format. Play the 9 teams from your side, then cross over week ten ONLY. Then you’d have a true LHAC champion. This won’t be the last time this scenario plays out if it isn’t changed.
Then again, I guess 3 way ties of one loss could happen- but at least an undefeated (probably the best team in the league) team wouldn’t be getting snubbed.

I guess it’s just crazy, and I think I wrote this in another forum, that Clearfield seems to have beat everyone handily and those same teams played BG closer, yet BG gets the nod for the championship.

Re: Crossover LHAC
Not exactly sure what the answer is when it comes to tiebreakers, but you should never use offensive stats(like points/runs) scored. That leads to teams running up scores. That's asking for trouble. Things would get ugly in the regular season.

Re: Crossover LHAC
Could a BG loss have impact on playoffs at all, they would still host in two rounds and play for the title at their home stadium. Correct
How long until some one forfeits the crossover game to not get any one hurt in a meaningless game
