G_RowTrojan wrote:You almost understand the system and how classification and enrollment works, but just not enough to establish a valid point. Johnstown's next enrollment number ( you used the previous cycle's info) will be decreased by approximately 20 students. While this does not make them fall below the current yellow line for AA, consolidations and the disintegration of Class A programs may. The PIAA does not establish the cut lines until it has established the enrollments for the schools in its membership. Thus, they develop a set of classifications that are equitably distributed in number of schools within each classification. While not exact it is fairly equitable and evenly distributed.
Thus, for every smaller school ( Turkeyfoot Valley) that discontinues its program the bar raises a little. Also, for every consolidation or co-op that occurs the line raises into the pack a little more. Finally, consolidation of smaller schools into a larger school ( Mifflin Co. and Central Valley) the line raises a little more. Thus, as Johnstown's enrollment decreases and the line seperating AA from AAA moves closer to them, the possibility of them being moved into the AA classification becomes closer to reality.
If you can discount this rationale for my claim I would love to hear it. My argument is heavily grounded in fact not opinion. As many of yours may be.

lol i do understand it and it has never moved more then 28 in either direction, so lets assume it goes up to 340 for arguements sake, the incoming class of 8th graders to 9th graders is 17 more then any class in jtown now in either 9th, 10th, 11th, and seniors. so really no chance they will be going to AA. and to be realistic the numbers will probably drop to about 300 when the new classifications come out in december which will put jtown at the high end of AAA. the 2006 numbers for AAA was 335, the 2008 was 328, and the current 2010 is 311, so those facts show a downward drift in classification. :D

But they lost, you shouldn't have a player of the week if you lose.

Each team picks its own player of the week.

Did you ever see a movie where there is a line of soldiers, and the commander asks someone to step forward to volunteer for a mission, and instead of one guy moving forward, all but ONE of the guys step backwards????? That's how Eisenhuth got his award. Ten others guys played so badly, that he won by default.

I don't even know why I waste my time responding to you but I will.

Exactly how does this add anything of value to this board? Is being an a$$ on a message board really all you have to entertain yourself? How sad.

How did THIS add anything to this board????? footballwizard mentioned that Eisenhuth was "player of the week" by "holding Central Cambria to less than 100 yards". Oh really? By himself????? What happened to Alkwan?? Did HE have anything to do with CC not rushing for more than that???? On offense, maybe Eisenhuth could have blocked better and GJHS could have won. Who knows? By the way, did anyone for CC get hurt Friday night? What's the difference, as long as they won the game. Right, sportsfan1000?

My guess is that the guy was making fun of the fact not bragging about it.

Your mission on here is to bash bash bash so once anything resmembles something of a compliment to any team other than FH you come out swinging(your walker).
