Real Pitt is 8-9 with two wins against then #11 UNC and a win over then #4 Virginia.

Penn State is on today's schedule.

Not a fan of Pitt baseball. WVU baseball seems to be the area program that is on the rise. See we circled back to the original topic (kind of)

"Real Pitt" I like it. They actually have a good starting rotation and that can keep them in games against better teams. They managed to sneak one in against Virginia last year as well. They thing is, when they beat those teams it comes down to a 1-0, 2-1 type of score.

They are probably low man in the whole league. If you look at their facilities, recruiting base, and just tradition factor alone - Pitt is going to have a tough time establishing themselves in the top half of the league anytime soon. It's nice to see they are competing, but it seems consistency is what kills them.

Sounds about right, beat UNC and lose to PSU. Just where Pitt is right now.

I noticed last night's game went 12 innings, so keeps up with the notion Pitt has fairly good starting pitching and not much else.

Not one to pile on kids, but these stats are too crazy not to note. After graduating two of probably the top five pitchers in the PSAC last year, UPJ has 13 (!!!!!!) pitchers this year with ERAs over 10.00.
